Why would I want to speak at WordCamp?
The community is made up of people who use WordPress. By submitting a talk idea or sharing your ideas for topics you would like to hear, you are helping the community grow even bigger and sharing your enthusiasm and knowledge. It is a great way to help people find out more about your chosen subject and to start conversations with other WordPress users.
Who would I be presenting to?
WordCamp audiences come not only from the immediate geographic locality and neighbouring places, but also from all over the world. The WordPress community is global and sharing knowledge and learning is enjoyed across it.
When you are preparing your speaker submission, it is a good idea to think about who your audience is likely to be.
- Is your talk aimed at beginners, intermediate or advanced users of WordPress?
- Will your audience need some technical knowledge to understand and benefit from your talk e.g. be familiar with basic developer terms?
- Will they understand the acronyms you are using?
